During the summer of 2003, Kurt and Cindy Nygaard of Hudson, Ohio wanted to take their appreciation of fine food and wine to the next level; owning a restaurant. The couple applied their business experiences to make Downtown 140, their dream, come to fruition

Downtown 140 provides mouth watering Small, Medium , and Large plates paired with an award winning wine list and a warm environment that make guests feel at home.

Our wine list has been recognized by Wine Spectator from 2004 – 2011 as one of the most outstanding in the world for restaurants. Food and Wine voted Downtown 140 as Best New Wine List in 2005. We continue to maintain and add to our already comprehensive wines.
